FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Jammin' 4 Jay?
Jammin’ 4 Jay is a one-day music festival held annually in Fort Langley.

The event not only provides a day of great entertainment, but also serves as a fundraiser in order to meet its objective as a registered charitable society to raise funds to promote safe driving practices and education for young drivers.

Jammin’ 4 Jay is a family oriented event, providing food, fun, and of course, great music, all on a beautiful five acre venue, the home of Greg Drew, the Society’s founder.

Greg’s 17 year old son died tragically in a car accident in 2003. Since that time, Greg, a Captain with the Surrey Firefighters, has devoted himself to promoting safe driver practices. His hard-hitting, gritty approach has resonated with teen drivers, many deeply moved by his very personal story.

How did it all begin?
It all began 13 years ago as Onion Fest, in honour of a late Firefighter, Paul Iannone. A stage was constructed in Greg’s back yard that came to be known as the A-Paul-O Theatre, and a yearly musical remembrance – Onionfest – took shape.

The event was renamed “Jammin’ 4 Jay” after Greg’s son died, with the musical tribute and celebration continuing to expand to the point of evolving into The Jammin’ 4 Jay Charitable Society, a registered charity.

What are our goals?
Our objective is to eventually raise half a million dollars for charity from this annual backyard event.

In addition, Greg tours high schools promoting safe driver practices and choices. The Society is in the process of making a DVD of Greg’s presentations to be used to promote his message on a broader scale to even more schools beyond those he has reached personally.

What does it cost to attend?
Tickets cost $25 each per adult. Accompanied teens 18 and under are free.

One lucky participant will receive a spot on the evening’s main stage.
